How did you come to create Project Ajna?

I've always used spiritually, mysticism and wellness in my personal life to help me navigate my own healing journey and also the stresses of working in a really demanding industry. But, the turning point came for me when I was at a really low point in my career, relationship and just life in general. I knew I wasn't living in alignment with my soul purpose and I was being asked to step up and make it happen. I've always loved helping people, so much so that I joined St John's Ambulance Badgers when I was 7 years old, so in many ways it felt like a remembering rather than a completely fresh start.

When I did my Reiki I my entire life changed and in that moment I knew exactly what I wanted to do. It was such a huge leap of faith leaving an industry I had been in my entire life and worked so hard for and not being sure if this would work out, but I had so much faith and trust in my mission and the universe. So I handed in my notice, left my job and started Project Ajna, a mystical wellness practice for skin + soul.

How does Project Ajna help people?

Project Ajna's mission is to give people the tools, time and space to rediscover the relationship they have with their skin and soul by finding their inner mystic. On a soul level, my rediscovery: soul sessions are designed to get you to be unapologetic about taking the time you need for self-care, which we do through reiki, tarot or meditation. This session is customisable so you can pick the modality that feels really good to you and build your session in your own way, as everyone's approach to healing is different. When we're disconnected from our soul we can feel burned out, stressed or lack motivation, so these sessions really help to move through that. On the skin level, my rediscovery: skin sessions are all about changing the way you think and feel about your skin through spirituality and shifting the focus from the external to the internal. These sessions are all about guiding you to a place of acceptance and inner confidence with your skin and appearance and a lot of my clients are working through the impact a skin condition like acne or psoriasis has had on their self-esteem or struggling to accept the way they look and constantly stuck in a cycle of comparison and negative self-talk. So I allow space to talk through their appearance and how it links to self-worth, then use spiritual and wellness tools to work through these themes on a holistic level.

It's also really important for me to able to give people the tools they need to facilitate their healing journey outside of sessions too, so I offer a pick 'n' mix style meditation library where you can download my guided meditations to use whenever you need them. Likewise, all of my sessions include a bespoke self-care prescription packed with rituals, tools and exercises for you to work through at home.

It’s a beautiful name - what does Ajna mean?

Ajna is sanskrit for the brow (third eye) chakra, which focuses on intuition, insight and higher consciousness and is the foundation for everything that I do. Especially in helping women find their inner mystic; we all have the answers within us and the power to heal ourselves and create magic in our lives and when you can tap into your intuition, you can really start reclaiming that.

How do you combine all your skills in your offering?

I use the healing modalities of reiki, tarot and meditation in my sessions as they all promote physical, spiritual, mental and emotional balance and that's a huge focus in my work. Self-care has to be holistic and the modalities I use with my clients have to reflect that. My own personal journey is also a huge influence in my work. Mind, body, soul books were actually some of the first books I ever read, even though I couldn't really grasp the concepts! I've been using crystals and manifesting from an early age and used meditation to get me through my anxiety. I've worked through traumas, wounds and griefs in my own life and the tools and rituals that I share with my clients are the exact ones that transformed my life.

The skin healing sessions also tap into my experience, as I worked in the beauty industry and witnessed firsthand just how much of an impact unattainable beauty standards, skin conditions and the conversations we have in the mirror can affect our emotional and mental health.

What is your favourite ritual?

I have so many! I start and end my day with rituals as it's a daily commitment to showing up for myself and I can't imagine my day without them. I usually spend 30 minutes in the morning and at night tending to my soul, which is so crucial for me. But, I would say journaling is one of my favourites and even when I mix and match with my other rituals this one is a constant. I find it so therapeutic to write and connect to my spirit guides as I channel their messages through writing. I also use my journal for deep self-inquiry, writing out my triggers for the day, visualising my future self and writing pages of gratitude.

Do you practice any other form of self care?

Yes! In the self-care prescriptions that I give to my clients there's always physical, mental, emotional and spiritual self-care practices in there and I echo that in my own life. I live intuitively and with the seasons and my cycle so they're subject to change, but right now I'm loving ecstatic dancing to move my body in such a free way, I tap every night (emotional freedom technique) to work through limiting beliefs or any emotional heaviness, I read at least 2-3 books a week and it's so restorative for me and great for my mental health. Then I connect to spirit through divination tools like tarot or using my pendulum then I'll also do some spells or manifesting work. Very busy self-care schedule, but prioritising myself allows me to live in alignment with my soul but also to better serve and show up for my clients and everyone else in my life.

Can you tell us a little bit about the free resources you offer?

A really big part of my mission is to bring mystical wellness to women everywhere so they can be educated in the ways that they can empower themselves, without barriers for entry. I have free resources on my website that include self-care factsheets, planners, affirmations and more if you're just getting started on your journey. Then my Instagram account is where I share my IGTV video series which breaks down some of my favourite rituals and tools and explains wellness and spirituality themes. Plus, it's really important for me to use my captions as tools to share this messaging too, I'm so grateful to be able to reach so many people in this way.

Then in my one-to-one sessions, I can hold space for you on a deeper level, really working together on those areas of focus that are specific to you and giving you your own roadmap to healing by building your self-care routine to help you along the way. We also have the benefit of using those beautiful modalities of reiki, meditation and tarot to kickstart it all.

How can we follow you and your work?
