Immunity Series: Ecotherapy

‘Go out into nature, be receptive to its wisdom, watch the dance of the skies…’ ~ Jemma

Eco therapy refers to the mental and physical health benefits of connecting with nature. It can help you feel more grounded, reduce depression, anger, feelings of anxiety and stress, lower cortisol rates, improve your mood and self-esteem and increase your emotional resilience. In the strictest sense of formal eco therapy, a trained therapist leads you through activities to develop a balanced relationship with nature to improve your wellbeing.⠀

On a more accessible level, whether you connect with nature through experiences, such as walking or cycling through woodlands or fields or whether you connect with nature through work by contributing to a conservation project or gardening, there are so many ways to reconnect with Mother Nature and ourselves.⠀

‘Something very profound happens to us on a soul level when we begin to truly turn up in nature and into our experience. Our survival rests upon how much we can restore our vital connection to nature, earn back its trust and move forward with respect and the spirit of co-creation. Its healing powers are infinite and we have so much to learn from its intelligence and grace.’ ~ Jemma @mamaxanadu (for full interview see The Saiki Zine)⠀
